Highlights

Private Four Gate Whiskey Tasting

For Friday night as the owner of Four Gate Whiskey Company, Bob D’Antoni, comes to the Swepson Guesthouse to give us a private tasting of his Four Gate whiskey. A truly unique experience and a once in lifetime opportunity to meet a legend in the whiskey business. For those unfamiliar with this brand, Four Gate specializes in unique barrel finishes with limited releases for each of their batches. For the tasting, Bob will take us through past, present, and future bottles of Four Gate Whiskey. According to the management company, Bob’s passion and excitement is infectious and this is one-of-a-kind experience. A few bottles of Four Gate Whiskey will be left behind for us to continue on with the party, along with Angel tasters deep etched with the Four Gate Whiskey logo.

Bardstown Distillery Tour

We have something really special lined up for you on Saturday as we spend the day in Bardstown visiting three awesome distilleries: Heaven Hill Distillery, Bardstown Distillery and Lux Row Distillers. Based on most expert opinions, the best group of distilleries to visit on the trail. With VIP transportation provided by Mint Julep Tours, we will travel in style within one of their luxury travel coaches and have ample opportunity to pregame in transit as we make our way to Bardstown. Not to be left out, we have something nice lined up for our beer lovers as we end the tour at Scout & Scholar Brewing Co. to sample some of their world class beers and grab a bite to eat. An epic adventure indeed, and we get back at the house early enough to go out on the town in Louisville.

Doc Crow’s Southern Smokehouse and Raw Bar

For our “fine dining” night, we are headed to the famous Doc Crow’s Southern Smokehouse and Raw Bar in the heart of Whiskey Row to enjoy their traditional Southern fare, barbecue and seafood dishes.  This landmark dining destination pays homage to Kentucky’s bourbon industry with its name, which refers to the inventor of the sour mash process, and with its extensive bourbon selections of more than 2,000 bourbon and whiskey varieties.

About Louisville

Yes, Bourbon is a spirit that comes in a glass, but it’s also the spirit that defines our culture, our arts and parks, and our creative energy. It’s this kind of spirit that helped create Louisville itself – a city that combines heritage with innovation, authenticity with originality, and quirkiness with friendliness in a way that’s completely unique to our region.

We’re an entirely different type of Southern. With a booming bourbon renaissance, iconic attractions, world-class hotels & venues and a renowned culinary scene, Louisville is an experience like no other city.
