Highlights/Lowlights

OBX; maybe the best MGC house yet; tropical storm Ophelia and hunkering down at the house to ride it out; driving through a lake to get around after the storm; sporting our cool MGC golf shirts; pirate booty and pilfering said booty; eye patches; pirate games – team Blackbeard and team Calico Jack; MGC member bag tags; mushrooms; our glorious rum bar; shuffleboard and pool; the Wrecked Pirate (MGC cocktail); Saturday’s pirate adventure and all the fun clues; treasure map and getting pieces of it every day; Bodie Island lighthouse; Kill Devil rum; Jennette’s Pier; Jockey’s Ridge State Park to view the sand dunes; OBX Brew Station and building the pirate ships; the Lost Colony Tavern; mermaids at Swella’s Brewery; hanging out in our pool and hot tub; all the people that we convinced to talk, look and sing like a pirate; resurrecting the Texas Hold’em poker game; the hot and cold pool; chicken wings for days; captain of the day duties; MGC cornhole boards; chip/ball marker cases for our 10-year members; getting sand blasted on the beach; the elevator; shoutout to Misha for coming up with our new “FNG” award
